Backstory
In the early stages of my childhood, I discovered my love for reading and writing. I wrote stories and even mini books, and while reading and writing are necessary, students forget to read for joy and other reasons too. I found while I can't fix the lack of love for reading for others, I can help make reading books more accessible. In the smaller parts of Costa Rica, where I live, I discovered that English libraries aren't something easy to find. I used to live near a library in Canada and I now realize how much I took it for granted. When I came to this school, I saw that there was only a library for primary students rather than for secondary students which my youngest brother visits every week to pick up a book. This is important for young children for sure, and secondary students should be able to have the same. So I am working to create a mini library in my school for secondary students who love to read. Instead of old books sitting in someone's house with no use, it can be donated and used for those who are interested in them. Reading books should always be an accessible thing for not only younger grades and students but also for anyone.
